Stephen Murphy - General Manager

Stephen is an ASE™ certified automotive repair technician and ASE™ master collision repair technician. He is a member of the Classic Car Club of America, the Antique Automobile Club of America, and the Chicago Art Deco Society. He is also a member ot the Society of Automotive Engineers’ Historic Vehicle Standards Committee and an ambassador for the RPM Foundation. His innate curiosity feeds his interest in history and both new and old technologies.

John McPartlin - Head Machinist & Mechanic

John got his start working for Young’s Auto Supply where he became a Journeyman Machinist.  He then worked as an engine builder and was the Cylinder Head and Engine Dyno Specialist for Ron Neal’s Prototype Engineering, building race engines for NASCAR, IMSA, and SCCA GT1 cars.  John left Prototype Engineering in 1986 to work for Al Kulwicki at NASCAR until Al’s death in 1993.

Mark Hooper - Master Mechanic

Mark is an ASE™ certified master mechanic, in addition to being a Porsche and Bosch Certified Technician. Mark has cars in his blood, as his father, Doug Hooper, was a successful Corvette racer and preparer in the late 50s and early 60s, beating the Shelby Cobra in its first competition appearance by winning the Los Angeles Times Grand Prix Three Hour Enduro of 1962.

Harold Santamariá - Master Automotive Technician

Harold is Professor of Automotive Technology at Harry S. Truman College and Visiting Assistant Professor for Southern Illinois University Carbondale in the Extended Campus Automotive Technology Program. Harold participates on numerous educational advisory boards throughout the Chicagoland area, and is an evaluation team leader for the National Automotive Technician’s Education Foundation (N.A.T.E.F.).

Thomas Gales - Painter

Thomas earned a diploma in collision repair at Lincoln College of Technology to turn his lifelong passion for cars and car paint finishes into a profession. He is our connection to the car - based reality - TV shows. He watches them all!

Jesus Santoyo - Automotive Technician

Jesus obtained an associate degree in automotive technology from Harry S. Truman College and is now earning his bachelor’s degree in automotive technology from the same institution. He aims to become a master technician.
