1931 Duesenberg Dietrich Bodied Duesenberg Convertible Sedan

The model J Duesenberg became popular with the Hollywood set as well as politicians and Royalty. Model J's came equipped with a 265 horsepower straight-eight engine and offered an optional supercharger, making a total of 320 HP. Duesenbergs started at $8,500. A substantial sum when the average annual income was just $5,000. A custom bodied and completed car could cost upwards of $20,000.

This beautiful car was previously owned by the Imperial Palace in Las Vegas and was restored at Indian Springs. This car is known as the "James Cagney" car because he is pictured with the car in many photographs. It is not know if Cagney ever owned a Duesenberg but the Duesenberg factory would use him for publicity shots.
